Poison Guide

Creating poisons and using them is a skill in itself. Only a few individuals are capable of creating and handling poisons. Poison creation and usage will be handled in tiers/stages. Apprentice, Adept and Master level. Poisons are mainly used by Kugutsu specialists and medical specialists. The power of these poisons are set in stone. The guide below won't cover every possible thing you can do. Staff asks that you will be mindful of this. And as poisons can be quite potent, be aware that we will keep a close watch on these. Don't be surprised if these are judged more harshly. Must have 3 skill points minimum in Kugutsu[Puppetry] or Iryo[Medical] to create and use poisons or antidotes. This Perk costs 5,000 Ryo.

Apprentice: Can create and use only one type/form of poison. These poisons are non lethal and have a duration of 3 posts. Must be applied by getting into the bloodstream. Cuts from blades dipped or coated in poison. Only poisons in liquid form and very small amounts can be created. Cannot be combined with jutsus or used to create jutsus. Effects can only be nausea, upset stomach. Numbness of limbs, headaches, mild pain. Get someone high off their face. This does not mean every poison you create needs to have all effects rolled into one. The power of these poisons are 200 in power. Only two effects max.

Endurance vs Power:

Adept: Can create and use 2 types/form of poisons. These poisons are still non lethal but far more dangerous. Their effects are equally more severe for the victims. Can use poison in liquid form the same as an Apprentice. But the volume has increased. Poison in gas/mist form can be used. Can create up to B-rank techniques at this level. Can combine with certain techniques etc. Effects can include putting someone to sleep, paralysis of limbs, effects on chakra networks. Duration for this level can go up to 5 posts. Poisons power are 300. Can have up to 3 effects in play.

Endurance vs Power:

Master: Can create and use 3 different types of poisons. These can end up being lethal over a certain amount of time. The 3 forms are liquid, gas and powder. Despite the 3 forms, in the interest of creativity, poisons can be deployed using different methods. Poison spores, vapours and the like. Can create up to S-rank techniques using this form. Duration for this level can go up to 7 posts. At this level your poisons can have varying effects. Some more severe than others. Poisons power are 500. Can have up to 4 effects in play.

Endurance vs Power:

Antidotes: All poisons have a counter or antidote if you will. Antidotes will only be as effective as their rank and type dictates. This means the antidotes one applies must be in correlation to the alignment. Cannot hope to cure or reverse the effects of vomiting using an antidotes which cures paralysis. Antidotes may at times cure multiple ailments, this will depend on the user's skill.

Antidotes can come in various forms. These can be done through serums, medicines, medical jutsu designed to heal such things. Medical techniques can cure, reverse or slow down the effects of poisons one rank above it.

C-rank Antidotes:

These antidotes can only reverse the effects poisons of equal rank.
B-rank poison effect are slowed by 1 post during battle. Slowed/delayed by 2 posts outside of combat.
A-rank and above poison effects are unaffected.

B-rank Antidotes:

B-rank and below poison effects are completely cured/reversed.
A-rank poison effects are slowed by 2 posts. Slowed/delayed by 4 posts outside of combat.
S-rank poison effects are unaffected.

A-rank Antidotes:

A-rank and below poison effects are cured/reversed.
S-rank poison effects are slowed by 3 posts. Slowed/delayed by 5 posts outside of combat.
