Description: The least harmful option for combating genjutsu is for the ninja to stop the flow of chakra in their body, and then apply an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the genjutsu user's chakra; this is called Genjutsu Kai. With additional training, this can also be done by an unaffected ninja by applying a sudden surge of chakra into the affected person. Genjutsu kai allows any person, no matter how skilled in genjutsu, to break free of genjutsu once they reasonably come to notice they are within its confines. Once this is done, the user may use this technique to stabilise their chakra and break out of gen in one turn.

Breaking Genjutsu with Kai: You break gen by using Genjutsu Kai in accordance with your gen points. Genjutsu kai allows you to pay the chakra amount equal amount to the rank of the technique that you are under. However you may only do this with techniques that are equal to or less than the amount of Gen Points you have. So I have 300 gen points, and I am hit with a B rank genjutsu that has 300 in power, I may use gen kai to overcome it by paying the amount of chakra for a B rank technique. If it is 150pts more than my Gen points, I cannot break it by this method. Genjutsu Kai is not automatic, you must first recognised that you're in a Genjutsu. Targets pay equal chakra cost to jutsus being used against them. Where Genjutsu Kai is not possible, then follow the pain process.

Description: This technique creates several ghost-like figures clad in black that emerge from the surrounding environment. When Mubi uses this technique, the figures are somewhat similar in appearance to him, but are not his exact lookalikes in the same that other clone techniques resemble their users. The black figures move slowly towards their target, provoking the target into attacking. Each time the figures are struck, the attacks pass through them, only briefly disfiguring their form. With each attack they receive, the figures multiply. Because this is only a genjutsu, the black figures cannot do any actual harm to their targets. However, if users - while hiding nearby - coordinate their attacks with the figures', such as by secretly throwing kunai along the same trajectory, targets may not realise the kunai are real and thus won't know to dodge until it's too late. Even if targets can avoid damage, being subjected to this sort of tactic for prolonged periods will inevitably wear them down, making them easy to finish off. This Genjutsu is triggered by the user spreading their chakra within a 25 meter radius. Once the targets step within the target zone, the genjutsu takes effect.

Description: This is a genjutsu that reveals the fears that dwell inside people's hearts. Everyone has an image of the one thing they wouldn't want to ever see. This genjutsu is a technique that draws forth such an image from within the heart and has one mistake it for reality. First, an imaginary circle of leaves will spin around and envelop the target, falling away shortly after. After a short period, the illusion will begin. This is to make the illusion more convincing, since the user will likely have moved before the illusion sets in. If the mental image is a gruesome one, the shock will be accordingly great. Technique is triggered by the targets witnessing for the formation of the hand seals.

Description: The user uses this technique with the bells that they attach to their senbon. The bells' ringing produces a particular sound wave, which travels from the inner ear directly to affect the brain. This causes the target to hallucinate, seeing multiple images of the user, and making very hard to tell the real one from the illusions. Additionally, the target loses their motor skills with continued exposure to the ringing per post they are affected by this genjutsu(-30 speed per post to the opponents)

Description: This technique causes a target or targets to, while walking in what they believe to be a straight direction, instead walk in circles. As is typical for genjutsu, the targets are unlikely to notice that they're doing this, causing them to waste time and energy as they wander about. Naruto Uzumaki and his team only realise that they've fallen prey to this technique when they notice the body a centipede that Naruto killed hours earlier. This Genjutsu has an area of effect trigger. Once the opponent steps within range of the genjutsu, the user can then trigger it.

Description: An illusion that relies on the sound of the flute. Whoever hears it will be assailed by the vivid sensation that their limbs have been fastened with sturdy ropes, thus becoming unable to move about freely. Even with physical intervention from an outside force, the body is robbed of all mobility, and consciousness itself progressively fades away. At the same time, they are fed morbid hallucinations, which makes it also possible to run them down mentally. Given that the means of transmission is sound-based, it has a large range of effectiveness, on top of which it can be applied even without knowledge of the enemy's position, which makes for an exceedingly convenient technique.

Description: The user first disappears from plain sight in a mist-like fashion in order to approach the target without being detected. Once close enough, the target will then be completely robbed of their mobility as they see the mirage of a fast-growing tree coiling itself around them. Given that the subject remains conscious, this technique proves extremely efficient for information-gathering. Once the target is immobile, the user can then attack the enemy, usually after emerging from the trunk of the tree.The genjutsu is triggered by the target witnessing the user forming the hand seals for the jutsu.

This gives the user's allies the perfect opportunity to attack the unsuspecting victim. The technique is triggered by the targets witnessing the bright light.

This technique does not appear to be very powerful as an individual can negate it themselves and all others around them without direct contact on the fellow victims. Genjutsu must be broken as per site rules. This Genjutsu can be triggered using an area of effect method. By stepping into the target area, the user can trigger the technique. At times can be triggered after the target witnessed the hand seals.

In this genjutsu, the victim has the impression to cross an area over and over again while in reality, it does not move at all.The technique can be countered by marking an area within the genjutsu, so that the never-ending circle can be noticed. Once noticed, the technique can be easily dispelled.

Description: This technique is used by the Anbu to pull out forgotten memories. After forming the appropriate hand seals, the Anbu will put the target into a state of reverse hypnosis, allowing them to remember details that they otherwise would not. The target will comply with interrogation, but seems to retain his or her personality while under hypnosis. For example, when the Anbu used this technique to bring back Naruto's memories about his conversations with Gennō, Naruto was more specific about the ramen he shared with the old man rather than their conversations, which the Anbu were asking about.
The technique was also used, without success, by Mitate to attempt to reverse Menma's amnesia. Menma's memories eventually returned without the aid of the Time Reversal Technique after the Konoha hospital was struck by lightning. This Genjutsu is triggered after the target witnesses the formation of the hand seals.

Description: The user places a hallucinatory darkness on a target's eyesight, causing them to see nothing but black; Tō no Sho likens the sensation to being at the bottom of a deep hole. Because the target cannot see, they are very vulnerable to attack. Although this handicap is dangerous even to the likes of the Third Hokage, it is not insurmountable, as the Third is able to sense attacks to try to defend himself and smell his attackers in order to stage a counterattack. This Genjutsu has a visual trigger(Handseals) being formed by the user.

Once the target is bound, the user or an ally can rush up to the enemy and deliver a devastating killing blow. +100 strength above Genjutsu power required to break the physical binding. The Genjutsu can be broken using other methods. This Genjutsu has an area of effect trigger and also a visual trigger. The user can choose to employ either. The user can use the formation of handseals at the visual trigger. Targets stepping into an area of 15 meters to the user can fall prey to the Genjutsu. The user must have formed the necessary handseals prior to this.
