Long before the universe was, there was The Orient.

The orient was a single, swirling galaxy of disorganized energy and matter. That which is closes to the sun is hottest; that which is closer to the point of creation, is the most potent. The most powerful forms of energy and matter were all concentrated into one ecosystem at this time; this was before the first age. All consciousness is said to have come from Ea or the Force; and Ea is the primordial force which governs all things.

The ruling powers of this time were the Ijin; primordial beasts who were the most terrifying and awesome force the realms had ever known. The Titans, having devoured the great majority of life forms at this time, put the entire creation into disarray, causing a reaction from Ea. In response, the celestial energies and matter were brought together to bring forth six beings designed to destroy the Iijin.

These six were brought forth by the force when the Titans attempted to corrupt all of creation. Hidden as children by a guardian, the children grew up hiding from Ijin and training themselves for the day of battle. Finally matured, they took on the great Ijin in a war that lasted 10 years.
After annihilating the Ijin and binding them in darkness and chains, the Children of the Grail gathered together to put the realms in order.

There in the ruins of the great temple, stood the seven children of the grail. Chosen by the Force, crafted uniquely for purposes they still could not grasp. Mithrandir, Kurotsuchi, and Alucard; Anemone, Theophania, and Galatea.

Mithrandir, glowing with a rainbow ambiance that was unmistakably divine. Kurotsuchi, gifted by the force with unsearchable skill, wisdom and breadth of power; and Alucard the power of the undead at his fingertips. The Force had clearly made them with their destinies and responsibilities woven within their genetic code and natural abilities. Mithrandir had the physique and countenance of an arch angel; Kurotsuchi had the shrewdness of a warrior; and Alucard had something almost sinister about him that made his authority over darkness effortless. Thus it was decided that each would be given rulership over a different plane of the realm. Mithrandir would be given the heavens; Izanagi the world of the living; and Alucard the realm of the undead.
